The Process

When a clock needs a complete overhaul, we first take the movement out of its case and inspect if for wear. The movement is then dismantled and goes through a cleaning process in an ultrasonic cleaner. The clock is re-inspected. We examine the clock’s pivots to make sure they are not scored, check its bushings, and look at the main springs to see if they need replacing. We follow through with any of its needed work. The clock is reassembled, oiled, and adjusted. We test the clock out of its case for one day to make sure it is working properly before it is returned to its case to run for one week. We time the clock each day to make sure it is keeping accurate time. After we conclude that its time is consistent and accurate, the clock can be returned to its owner.
