Caring for your Grandfather Clock

Grandfather ClockA grandfather clock is beautiful piece that is normally passed down as a family heirloom.  These clocks are both beautiful and functional, but they need to be maintained.

Every 3 to 5 years, your grandfather clock should be oiled. This is done by removing the movement, oiling the pivots, and applying grease to the necessary places. We return the clock back to its case and make any remaining adjustments.

Every 20 to 25 years, your clock will need a complete overhaul. Click here to learn about that process.

Our goal is to keep your grandfather clock running smoothly so that it may last for many years to come.
